I can access the crack easily, it's a 2.0L motor, and I am planning on a temp fix with ThermoSteel.

I got a spare manifold, but it was setting outside, it needs to be tanked, checked for cracks, and around 1 mm needs to be machined as it has some pits in the head sealing surface.

I looked around and the 2.0L exhaust manifolds are not available, this is my only vehicle that is street legal. My plans are to temp fix the manifold on the vehicle and take the spare to a machine shop, get it tanked and milled.

..and just swap out the manifolds on a Sunday afternoon.

Anyone know a fair price to get the spare manifold in good working order from the machine shop?

why bother repairing it, it give you less restriction hahaha

pft, my 2.9 headers are held on with 2 bolts per side lmao!

but thats ok, it will be 302 powered in a few weeks...

well ya man, I mean if they didn't leak, I could care less if rust was holding them on, but... when you got to max out the audio on the radio, and wake up the neighbors when you drive by, something has to be done!

I used ThermoSteel, it actually stopped the exhaust leak on the manifold, runs smoother, BUT that wasn't where the loudness was coming from, about 4ft back it appears a exhaust adapter blew loose!! RIIiiight... So right now I'm letting her cool down, and maybe I can reset that adapter, or remove that piece and weld it up, at 1 a.m. in the morning, there goes my fricking nights sleep!
