ok so i searched and found out if u bypass the switch the cruise control doesnt work. i want to instal a remote start i have and can unless i dont have to press in the clutch but i want to be able to use cruise still, so do any of u know how to bypass it but still be able to use cruise on a 92 expo

Can you jump the wires so that it thinks you are pressing the clutch and just take the cpp out of the question? Maybe install a toggle switch that disables it so you can use the remote starter. Just have to remember to flip it when you get in and out of the thing.

thats what i was thinking was wire a switch to both wires which in reture with it switched on would make the current but when off made it work like normal but i dont wanna ruin it so i was asking first

As long as you mark everything and give yourself enough slack, you should be able to splice it back if it does not work like you hope. I'd think that as long as the circuit is complete it should work.

Just splice into the wires that have power when you press the pedal and wire it up so your toggle switch can override it by completing the circuit without pressing the clutch and when switched off the circuit is open and functions as normal by pressing the clutch in.

Be careful playing with that switch. My 94 Expo has the same set up, and if you rewire the switch wrong, the cruise won't deactivate when you hit the clutch.

thats fine if it doesnt deactivate cause i dont press it in while my cruise is on

i turn it of and change gear, i dont like my motor reving up and then turning the cruise off so i shut it off in before i shift

Why not try getting the jumper plug for the auto-trans version? I'd think that would get everything going.
