Courier guy

Hey people, I have a '79 Courier, and it seems that I have not found anything like TRS for Couriers so here I am.
I have been a Ford fan for most of my life as well as a motorcycle rider. Mostly I like trucks rather than cars, although I currently have a '88 T-Bird as well as my Courier. I recently picked up a 2.3 out of a Ranger to use in my Courier when a broke a piston wrist pin and I have been having a host of little problems relating to the differences in the 2.3 from the Courier and the 2.3 from the Ranger, which it seems there are not a lot of people that understand what I am talking about so here I am.

welcome....but i am limited in this arena as i would just make it the way i wanted....one of my favorite lil truck builds is a courier...i just cant fit in one.

I saw one of those in the jy a few years back and had to do a double-take on it...the engine looked similar but there were differences...post up some pics in the 2.3 forum and maybe someone can help you there...just depends on what you're trying to do...if I recall correctly, the bolt pattern for the transmission is not the same on these engines...so it might not be a direct swap...but fill us in if you can because now I'm curious to know the differences...

Welcome! I also had an early Courrier, fun little truck. Found mine used but someone had stuck a 289/C-4 in it. That was back when lot of the Luv's/S-10's were swapped. Only thing I really remember about it was you could use Blazer rims on it.
