Hey I was thinking and will 4.10 gears be able to install into a d35 carrier with 3.27 original gears? As well what kind of fluid should I be running on an 03 fx4 rear axle with a torsen t-2? Thanks

4.10s will fit for sure if it's a '90-'97 axle. I think the '98up D35 uses a single carrier too, but not sure (not sure what year front axle you're asking about, your profile says '94)

For the FX4 Torsen rear axle, 75W140 synthetic.

yeah it was for the 94, thanks for the help!

I just have one more question, I cant seem to find any 75W140 synthetic gear oil, just 85W140. Is it that important I mean it probly has to be final 140W for when the diff warms up for the helicals to work properly, but does it matter between the initial weight of 75 or 85? Also does it have to be a synthetic?

Your local Ford dealership will have 75w140 in stock.

Good call do you think I'll be safe putting in a full 3 quarts since i have 3 quarts? Haynes manual calls for 2.5 quarts.
p.s. this stuff is ridiculous 20$ a quart lol!

Fill it till it starts dribbling out of the fill plug.
