What a waste of a good double-cardan driveshaft :icon_confused:

I'd be keeping that double cardan joint and just shortening the whole thing the 2" or 2½" needed to make it fit a BII having the FM146, M5OD or A4LD transmissions (if you got the FM145 or TK5, the thing literally bolts right in).
 
what shaft did you use there? cause i have the same cv style shaft in mine and i just dropped the shaft a few days ago.
 
It was out of an older B2. You have to find one with the same length shaft. Apparently both driveshafts were available. Just go to the u-pull with a tape measure and a 12mm wrench. Mine was 32" long.
