Did u use the parts listed on the duraspark tech page? The rotor that they give on the tech page does not fit with the dist cap. The sit cap restricts the rotor from spinning.
Well i was looking at the rotor on autozones site and comparing it to the one the gave me and i think the one in the box they gave me is the wrong one.
I`m pretty sure the part numbers are the large two piece cap and adaptor and the rotor is longer. The larger round flat cap is to keep spark from jumping in the cap between posts Mine made a clicking noise for the first 50 or so miles but is normal it kinna sounded like lifters but went away. The adaptor screws to the dizzy and the cap snaps on it. I cant remember wher I got mine but I found the adaptor in england for cheap the one in the pic in the tech library looks different. I`m gonna look for the right parts with pics.
Wow I just stumbled on this and it says the duraspark conversion gives you 50% more power with a TFI coil (stock) than a standard coil humm som good reading for the durasparkie and a real simple schematic also. http://www.wps.com/AMC/distributor/index.html
All the parts i bought are with the part numbers from the duraspark page. The rotor does not seem to hit the posts inside the cap. This is getting frustrating because i have went to the parts store more than 10 times trying to piece this thing together.
