Coronavirus

My wife talked with the director today when she picked up our son, I guess daycare is kind of in turmoil.

Some of the parents are getting parentshamed (is that a word?) for still having their kids in daycare so they are breaking contract to pull them out because they don't want to have sit at home and pay for daycare which they are not using until this thing blows over. Then they get shamed for pulling them... it must be tough to care that much about what others think.

On top of dealing with all that she has been talking with all the people with the state about what she actually needs to do.

Sounds stressful, I thought herding cats (which is basically what daycare looks like) all day would be plenty stressful.

At the grocery store a bit earlier today... I simply can't believe what I saw. Or should I say didn't see.

There were a few empty shelves at my local grocery store as well. I was going for coffee, grapefruit juice, and milk, so no problems for me.

WOW!!!!! You found MILK??? You can't even buy coffee creamer, here at our grocery store!!! Not a milk jug to be had--no soup, meat, cheese is not to be had, bread, forget it!!!! I'm really not kidding!!!!:shok:

Around here the household goods isles are bare, no paper products of any kind. No bottled water, can foods were low but still there, and the pharmacy isles were picked pretty clean but no real shortage of food. I grabbed some milk, some frozen dinners, and 4 dozen clams. People are definitely getting stranger every day though.

I dont understand how places can be out of milk? Milk gets delivered daily and you cant hoard it. There's no logical reason for anyone to buy more milk they can drink in a few days. Do they think buying milk in bulk is gonna turn out well? :icon_confused:

Milk was pretty picked over tonight. You can still get pretty much anything but maybe not what you normally get.

There are major "dairies" here, along with ranchers, ect--Don't expect the empty shelves to last long, but I'm sure glad we have enough, in the freezer/fridge.

I noticed the water and a good portion of the paper products were cleaned out. A big section of the juice was too.

Maybe it's because I just needed a quart jug for work and it was Regular milk. That section was a bit bare but wasn't picked clean.

Logic has nothing to do with this.

Anybody have a dozen eggs?

Phoenix Mayor just issued a order, effective tonight at 8PM, all bars/restaurants to shut down, except for drive thru, or curbside pickup!!!

This weekends Luke AFB 2 day airshow, just got cancelled:cry: Major disappointment---the show is/was two days, with a Tora Tora Tora re-enactment using the Zero's that did the original Hollywood film, complete with B17, and P51 Mustangs, and LOTS of pyrotechnics/55 gallon drums blowing sky-high!

I'm somewhat annoyed by this situation here too.

State government has mandated a shutdown for daycares. Some can get waivers if they have kids of medical personnel. Ours didn't, and they are closed now, but they expect us to keep paying.

Medicine and day care are the only two businesses I know of where I can get a bill and they expect me to pay for services I never actually received. Any other business that's called theft by fraud. I want to know how to get in on this.

Where is she at jim? Ill stop out if i get tge chance see if i can bring her something
Hey thanks! Fortunately I was able to send her some groceries through Instacart. ?

School is closed for two weeks but daycare is still open here for now. Generally when school gets closed (just snow days since we started this game) and daycare is closed they don’t charge for it.
