Coronavirus

I see more governors have created a coalition working together to decide when and how to open their states back up.

In a way I see this as a failure on the federal government and White House. The federal government had no pandemic plan, and had failed to create a plan to get things going again, so the States are banding together to do it on their own.

The entire planet ought to be pissed at China. They have a biological lab in Wuhan which may not have created this virus but was rumored to be working on anti viral agents there<not confirmed. When the outbreak started they arrested the doctor who first called attention to it and immediately locked down the city(indicating to me that they knew how infectious the virus was) and kept the information from getting out as long as they could. ).

I've been seeing more and more news in main stream news outlets indicating that the virus may have originated by someone infected in a Chinese lab doing virus research.

Heard this same thing, back in Dec when they were just getting started!! The "lab" was said to be the equivalent, of our Military USAMRIID. Don't know for sure tho, just something that was in the report

Nj is not opening by may. Not possible. I see failures everywhere. Trump is yelling at the W.H.O because they contradicted him and he says he did great... THIS IS NOT GREAT!

We are now the epicenter of shit. Nothing about this is good, great, trump literally has no way to brag about this but he still is. I have given that man some leeway but even in the biggest crisis to him america in over 100 years he's blaming everyone but himself and trying to do things to assert power that he doesn't have. The man thinks he's immune to everything and can do whatever he wants. He's trying to ajourn the senate and house in order to get new staff (because he keeps firing everyone).

We are not doing good because of trump. We are doing terrible but somehow not all dead in spite of trump. Our state govenors are keeping us alive. (Most of them)

The goal for 2020, stayin alive!

Once in the history of that man making words leave his face. If someone were to show me any time a problem existed that he took the blame for, or even at least didn't blame on someone else... I would change my entire perception of him. He is a megalomaniac, vindictive, egotistical, and probably a sociopath.

I think the federal government did put together an outline for opening up states... but leaving it to the local government to have the final decision.

In a situation like this... everyone wants to blame someone. There is enough blame to go around. From the president to the governors to each individual. To place all the blame on Trump is just ridiculous. There is a fine line in creating bigger problems then what you're trying to fix.

On the way home from the store.... Wisconsin announced the stay at home order was extended until May 26. I'm just not sure small business will be able to recover let alone individuals be able to hang on for another 5 weeks or more.

I'm not directly blaming him. I'm blaming the federal government as a whole.

We have strategic plans for invading anywhere in the world if we need to, but don't have a plan to deal with a pandemic. We assume the problems are always somewhere else. Never here.

There should of been a readiness plan, steps or stages of response, and steps for returning to normal. All of peoples fears (anxiety prescriptions have gone up 34% since this started, and people are protesting) is because there's no plan and people don't know what to expect.

And to a degree, I do blame Trump for some of it. Even though I voted for him, I'm tired of the propaganda and positive spin on everything. His daily speeches are more about making himself look good than dealing with the pandemic. I'm at the point where he's lost credibility to me.

His meltdown earlier this week and the video he showed about what he's done and what the media has said was just worthless nonsense. More of a self campaign then about what our next move is.

Basically, every public leader has been set up to fail because the information, training, and resources weren't available.

But that's me. I don't like candy coated bullshit. I prefer to tell people how bad it is, and then tell them how we're going to get through it.

These would be the same people that thought the virus was caused by a beer and hoarded toilet paper for a respiratory illness correct?

Those people panicked over what they saw and read on social media. When people get scared, they'll turn to whatever source of information they could find. I blame store managers for not placing a limit on essential items after people started wiping out their shelves.

Very well said there Jim, and I agree. I’m sick of seeing him patting himself on the back... I don’t care what he did and when he did it. He dropped the ball early on and is trying to blame everyone else. Nows not the time for blame, nows the time to be real and honest. Trump has a hard time with that... most politicians have a hard time doing that. As much as it’s been said he’s not a politician, he really acts like one!
What we needed from the start was a plan... there was never a plan. By the time a plan was thought up and implemented, it was already too late. Maybe now the government will learn its lesson, have a plan, and keep it current... probably not.
