We have definitely learned one thing: Unfortunately the scientific process seems to be the first thing we lose in a situation like this.

Real science is just too slow I guess. Everyone is in such a hurry to "break the news" that we are creating the "fake" or poorly validated news that everyone claims to despise.

The entire planet ought to be pissed at China. They have a biological lab in Wuhan which may not have created this virus but was rumored to be working on anti viral agents there<not confirmed. When the outbreak started they arrested the doctor who first called attention to it and immediately locked down the city(indicating to me that they knew how infectious the virus was) and kept the information from getting out as long as they could. The virus has not reached Beijing or their industrial capitol, Shanghai, but it has spread over the rest of the world with devastating results. They sold thousands of test kits to England that proved to be defective and useless. China did not include people who tested positive but were asymptomatic in their totals. They admit to 3000 or so deaths in Wuhan but local crematories ordered 33,000 urns and I doubt that they were frugal Yankees(I know, that's redundant) stocking up because urns were on sale. If anything good comes from this, hopefully it will bring manufacturing back to the U.S. so we aren't dependent on China for so many things. Our manufacturing ability won WWII, I sincerely hope we never go to war with China(or anyone for that matter).

On another note, Michigan has dropped from #3 to #8 for the state with the most cases. This comes at a time when a large number of people showed up to protest the governor.

And Pennsylvania has worked their way up to #4.
