Coronavirus

Got my second shot a few hours ago. I don't feel invincible yet.

Oh you'll feel something soon... Took me about 18 hours... (Insert evil laughter here)

Seriously though, just plan for a achey day tomorrow. You might not feel anything but most people get a mild flu ache.

How are things going for everyone? Stuff is starting to get back to normal around here. Kids have been back in school for a while now, basically everything is opened back up like movie theaters etc, no more masks except in schools and medical places, no capacity limits. Almost feels like a normal summer.

Kind of the same here. Mask mandates are relaxing, but I still carry mine around. Most of the stores still have the signs up, but no one seems to be enforcing it.

Work has actually slowed down some where I’m at, prices are up, gas is $3 now, E85 is 2.59 I’ve been using E85 in the escape lately just because of the cost difference. Sure the mpgs are a little lower but I’m still paying less each week to fill it. Been thinking of putting the 225/70’s back on the ranger as it just gets 20mpg but gets 100 miles a week put on it. Plenty of paper products at Meijers now though.

I just had lunch at an actual restaurant for the first time in over a year. :icon_rofl:

Then went into home depot without a mask on. (Spent 200 dollars on 5 2x10's )

Saw a bunch of kids playing at the park on the way home.

Man, remember when you had to use old newspapers for toilet paper, the only food in the stores were creamed eels, and you couldn't leave the house without a bio hazard suit and body armor.

We have been eating out for probably over a month, cautiously getting back to normal.

Saw the clearance section of wally world was full of hand sanitizer and masks the other night.

The liquor store here has been giving away free liter jugs of hand sanitizer made by titos vodka with every purchase. 12 months ago they were rationing it, now they can't even give it away...

yesterday just for the fun of it we went to the truck stop McDonalds who's drive thru was open during all of the corona, always with little or no waiting.
we now can order inside but still have to eat outside,
inside dining has been open, though restricted, for months in both Ohio & Michigan regular restaurants. inside at fast food joints are still shut down.
no mask needed if vaccinated is common at most places now. If the business requires a mask I comply without any issues.

EDIT that McDonalds has a $300 hire bonus.

Things are back to normal to the most part. Not completely but getting there. No parade for Memorial Day but we can hold a public ceremony. A lot of people were still wearing masks in Kuhn's (Grocery Store) but that has been the only place I've seen were so many are still wearing masks. Small steps I guess.
