I know a woman that woke up today with a fever, sore throat, and a head ache. In a couple of hours she developed a bad cough. She went online to the CDC website and took their Self-Checker, which told her to go to the emergency room. She called the hospital and they refused to give her a Coronavirus test (COVID-19). Doctors have already told her that she has a weakened immune system, so I told her she should just go to the emergency room anyway.

Texas ranked 49th in regard to its efforts to limit the virus' spread (Governor Greg Abbott has failed), according to a study done by WalletHub. Only Mississippi and Wyoming ranked behind Texas. Hopefully the hospital will actually test her and not turn her away when she goes in.

Texas now has 325 cases and 5 deaths. The cases are up 53% since Friday. Realistically, the numbers are much higher because Texas took a long time to close anything and promote social distancing, and they're not testing everyone with symptoms.

It's been predicted that Texas could actually become as bad as New York.

This is a very real thing. Please isolate yourself as much as possible.

That just doesn't seem right... not from what I heard on the news today. They were really just asking people that just wanted to know if they had it and didn't have symptoms to just sit tight and not use up valuable resources. With symptoms AND a weakened immune system... seems like a no brainer.

Lucas county in Ohio, (greater Toledo) has stated that tests will not be given unless a primary doctor orders it.
they are saving the test kits for first responders and medical personnel.
they say if you get the flu, any flu, treat the symptoms and if it gets bad seek medical attention.

I think a sore throat and headache are considered to be uncommon symptoms for covid infections. Anyway, I had the same thing two weeks ago, it started to go away, then came back the middle of last week and now seems to be going away.

There is a huge makeshift village on the Hwy 27 exit of I-10 in Tallahassee at the Northwood Center. White tents, barricades, Looks like something out of "Red Dawn" It scares me that my city will be a Hub for all surrounding areas.

I know how you feel... I honestly believe they're retrofitting a smallish college campus right by my home into a make shift hospital. Time will tell.

The Northwood Center used to be The Northwood Mall. They turned it into a state building for a while, then had a problem with, wait for it.....
Bat shit.

They are literally using a bat shit condemned building for a virus that was originated in bats. The humor is not lost on me. I know it was I different species of bat, but still batshit krazy.
