Has anybody ever herd of Core Shifters? There web page says no phone support or store front. That is kind of strange. They have a Hurst after market shifter for fm145 transmission. Here is the link http://www.core-shifters.com/servlet/the-936/Core--fdsh--Hurst-short/Detail

I don't believe anyone would bother making an aftermarket shifter for a transmission that was discontinued at the end of 1987 production, so I call bullshit.

It looks like a scam to me...

I have never heard of them either, but it is just a stick, base plate, and ball. Once you build one it really isn't that much of an issue to do another especially if your core business is already “sticks with balls” and you happen to have idle time.

Believe me I though about making my own and I have a FM145, if my shifter wasn't perfect (allegedly the last one Ford had on the west coast per the previous owner) I might of started my own clone of an OEM shifter...but with a shorter throw...and a better grip...and more bad ass'e'nis
