Hi all; Just scored one of those FlexiLite fans for my Ranger, but unable to install due to the heavy duty (thicker than normal) radiator that's in it.

So my question is ....... stay with the present radiator and forget the electric fan, or get a stock radiator and install the fan??

I have already gone through this dilemma. Keep the stock cooling fan, it provides way better cooling. And with an extra large radiator, thats extra cooling capcity that can be used when towing, hualing, or just to keep the engine cool in those extra hot days.

If you make it a pusher fan you will have to wire it up backwards in order to spin the fan the proper direction, I believe. You dont want it pulling air out the front of the radiatior and getting a neutral effect while rolling.

The way the blades on some of the electrics are designed, they move very little air in reverse. Depends on the design though.

Why change fans, been having cooling problems? Maybe a good cooling system flush is all you need.

Haven't had any cooling system problems.

I got a deal on the e-fan from a friend, thought it might benefit my truck.

I'm gonna stay with the present setup - after all, it ain't broke !!

Thanks everyone for your ideas !!
