Coolant Leak HELP

Leaking behind the lower rad. hose thought it might of been the hose so i replaced it but still leaking. Can i safely bet that its the timing cover gasket?

Your coolant pump is highly suspect in such a leak.

I used to own a 92 Ranger with a 3.0L with a timing cover gasket leaking coolant. At first I misdiagnosed it by replacing the water pump. Just my experience, but anything is possible. I would try to put some leak detector dye in to pinpoint the leak.

I had a similar leak and it was the timing chain cover, at first I thought it was a poorly installed water pump but that wasn't the case 6 hours later a new gasket and a fresh timing chain it was all done(timing chain was done because I was in there and it had some slop in it) Not really a big deal just a P.I.T.A because you have to tear the front of the motor off to get to it. Don't take the water pump off the chain cover and make sure you clean the gasket surfaces really well and use gasket sealer so you wont get a leak.

Oh and you will get coolant in your oil so before you start the truck crack the drain plug until coolant runs out, when the coolant finishes draining and you get oil tighten it back up and fire the motor check for leaks fill everything up shut it down and change the oil and your all set.
