Conveyer belt sushi

So we are looking into going down to D.C. for a day or overnight trip to the Smithsonian and they have a Kura conveyor belt sushi place not terribly far away. I hate going to cities and driving in them but I want the kid to goto air and space plus the woman and kid love sushi so I figured why not. Has anyone on here been to the sushi place with the conveyor belt in D.C.?

Haven’t been to that one, but I went to one up in CT or north Jersey while we we on a trip one time and we enjoyed it.

I can’t help you on the sushi front, but I can give you a little advice. When we go to DC, we stay in Alexandria, VA and take the train into DC.

Edit; this past Thursday, I had to convert a can'tveyor into a conveyor. It took4 of us about 30 minutes.

Basically you pick what you want by the peice without a server it's a novelty that started in Japan.

i have never heard of sushi conveyor belt restaurants.

so the conveyor blet goes to everyone sitting at the bar? what if someone down the way double dips your sauce and they are sick, but you don't know?

You grab the plates off as they go by, then when you leave you pay for however many plates you ate.

Poke bowls are great plus I found out about them when we went to Hawaii.
