i have an 89 ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder with an automatic a4ld, some guy has an 89 ranger with a v6. I already have a manual tranny for my truck, now my question is the clutch pedal, brake pedal, and master cylinder are they the same for the 4 cylinder, because i want to take them out and put them in the 4 cylinder, also is the gear shifter the same will it fit the 4 cylinder tranny?

The pedals are the same between the motors, only the year matters. You might run into conflict with one truck being an '88, and the other an '89. They changed the dash in 89, so I'm pretty sure they would have changed the pedal assembly/ mount too.

You might be able to get away with just taking only the pedals off the parts truck, and swaping the pedals into your bracket, rather than swaping the entire bracket.
I am NOT garenteeing that the pedals are even the same. The stud on the clutch pedal (where the master cyl. attaches to it) may be in a different place on the '89 from where it should be on an '88. Or the pedals could be different lengths, etc.

Unless somebody else can confirm that the pedals are the same, I think that your best bet would be to take the parts out of another '88, rather than an '89.

Pedal assemblies are not the same. The '83-'88 Ranger & Bronco II's have the same pedal assembly.

okay, you guys misunderstood, i have a 1989 ranger 4 cylinder and im getting parts off a 1989 6 cylinder, so its the same year. I just wanted to know if the pedals were the same for the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder 1989 ranger and the master cylinder?

Sorry, I did miss understand.

Yes, you can swap everything but the transmission.
