converting cruise from vac to elec servo

do you think it possible? and what would be the benefit of switching? how hard to make the conversion?

I saw a post a few years back where AllanD was talking about having done it. IIRC it was not a hard change to make, but I don't remember the details.

I would think it should be a pretty good upgrade. The electronic unit would provide a more stable speed and avoid the surging you get when any one of several parts wears out on the vac system.
