just wanted to let everybody know that when converting gen. 1 rangers over to efi you can still keep your fuel tanks that came with the pick-up. i converted to a 302 carb to a efi by getting a Walbro GSL391 pump that will fit in the tank or along the frame rail and used externally. it will pick fuel up from 9 feet and send to the fuel rail under pressure for upto 350 hp. you do not need an auxillary pump to feed it either, it is self priming. all you need to do is provide a fuel return line. i am putting it in the frame rail. as far as i know there is not any other company that has a pump that can do this by itself. i called all the manufacturers, and they said they only had pusher pumps, no puller/pusher pumps. i am writing this because i have damn near went crazy trying to find a pump rather than switching tanks. good luck and your welcome.
