Have any of you done a conversion from R-12 to R-134? I have a 1983 Ranger I need to convert.

- If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
go get your R12 evacuated. flush the lines and replace every hard part (compressor, condenser, orifice tube, and what ever else will be in a ranger) with new and get the R 134a seals. I tried using the R134 refrigerant conversion kit and all it does is change the fitting where you put in the refrigerant and it is not a good idea to mix R12 with R134.
