Conversion kits for v-8 swap into 84 ranger

What company offers a engine swap kit that is reasonably priced and of good Quality,please give part # and company name getting ready to start project through the summer ,also what is the best quality engine harness company,Painless they're a little steep in price but really good I heard!

1996 or 1997 Ford Explorer with V8(5.0l), pre-PATS and most of the parts you need
Only half joking.

It really depends on what you want with the V8, HEI electronic ignition can be done without computer and just 3 wires, and carburetor needs no wires.
It is only when you want to add Fuel Injection that you need to add computer and all the sensors with their wiring, which is when the '96/'97 Explorer comes in, it comes with engine, computer, all the sensors and wiring needed, also the drive train needed for V8 power.
Your '84 drive train won't last long with V8 pushing it.

Newer automatic transmissions also need computer control

If you have the v6 with c5 auto. The best kit is the one you do yourself. Other combos I'm not familiar with.

I'm just finishing a 351w 84 ranger 4x with the above combo.
