Conventional to Synthetic switch

Eat enough cantaloupe, and your insides will be 'lubed'.... does that help?
No. You used other words besides cantaloupe.

Failure to follow directions.

That's odd. When I rebuilt my 4.0 OHV it had rollers in it. And it was a 92 block, so its an early one.
.....thought 4.0 was flat tappet?

Youre telling me there's a cologne with a roller cam, eh??

Tell me more...

4.0 has a roller cam, with air bleed/return holes in the lifters.

They cost about $25 a piece. I don't think they fit the 2.9, wrong diameter IIRC.

Also, about 10 years ago Ford, in an effort to be "environmentally friendly" started making most of the plastic, foam, and "rubber" parts of the cars out of a soy-bean based material, rather than traditional petroleum materials. This has led to a number of issues on newer vehicles, including, but not limited to, loss of VREF to some engine management sensors.
