okay, i put in coil spring spacers a while ago and after I got my alignment done it started making a loud clunking noise when going over larger size bumps and potholes. Anyways i went to change out my upper control arms tonight and the control arm is sitting on the shock bucket. Im guessing thats the noise ive been getting. Does anybody else have this problem, i never heard of these problems when deciding on which lift to do. Is there anything I can do besides get new spindles or something. Help

hwo much lift did the spacer gave??
if its hittin then its a really big spacer

It was a one inch spacer, maybe im jumping to conclusions but with the wheel off at fool droop it is jammed against the shock bucket.

with the wheel at full drop thats about correct for it to hit i have 1.5" spacer in and i feel it hit sometimes, its just the nature of the beast. A camber kit can help a little, or the different angled control arms from fabtech

whats it hitting? it would help with a pic cause i have some spacers and i duno if i wanna do them now

Dont do the spacers unless you can fork out money for aftermarket control arms. Thats probably what im gonna have to do or take the spacers out and get a spindle lift. Sorry dont have any pics had to put everything back together to go to work lol.

mine has spacers and even with the wheel lifted it doesnt hit the frame

What size tires are you running, ive got 31's and it didnt do it until I got the alignment/ camber adjusted.

mine has 30"s not sure about the spacer size cuz its custom made, but its ~1" spacer

so when the wheel is drooped out the control arm is hitting the frame? and if that is true wouldn't limit straps take care of that? and does anyone know where i can get some reasonably priced lift control arms.

I dont think they make any reasonably priced aftermarket control arms, the limit strap thing might be an idea:headbang:
