connecting the clutch line to the slave

is it extremely hard for anyone else to connect the line to the slave cylinder? i can not get mine on at all. i pushed the plunger in on the slave and the line and they both move but cannot get them together to save my life.

any special tool or anyone know why i can't get these together?

just grab it with a pair of needle nose or some type of pliers and use that to push it in. Its not hard but the pliers will give you enough grip to easily push it in

i'll have to try that. the thing seems impossible to push in. i even tried pushing it in the old slave an it still wouldn't go in? i dunno why this is so hard.
 
You could actually use a couple pairs of pliers (one for each end) if you're careful. Just make sure to listen for the "click" because it's not very loud. Then you'll know that it's seated properly.

ooh ooh oooh!!! I think I know the problem!!! haha I fought mine for 2 days until I compared the old o ring to the new one!!! The o ring they gave me witht he new parts was SLIGHTLY too big in diameter and it would'nt allow it to go on. Use the old one and she'll shlide RIGHT in!

ah ok. Well then get one from a Ford dealer. I can almost gaurantee thats your problem. Dont use pliers. Your working with plastic and thin metal fittings, if it does'nt go in by hand, something is wrong, and its probably that o ring is too big!
 
I agree with offroadranger, should go in by hand.
Did this line come off this slave orginally?
That O-ring is something to check as forementioned
 
those things are aggravating.....one time it took me hours to get in, the next time it took like seconds....
