Confused as to why my blinkers aren't working...Help please

I've never had any problems with my blinkers before on my 92 ranger. Then all of a sudden, I let my buddy drive my truck today and they stopped working. I let the truck sit for a couple hours before trying them. got in my truck and started it and tried my left blinker and it worked. But only for about 3 seconds, then began to blink faster (as if 1 was burnt out) and then just stopped working all together. Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong or has had this problem happen to them?

I'm just guessing that the blinker(flasher) module is going out.....usually they are plugged into the under-dash fuse "box".....check your vehicle manual for the exact location of the " flasher ".

Put on the 4 ways and walk around the truck. Report back

4 ways have a separate flasher.
