Doing some last minute checks before engine break in and I need confirmation on electrics:

Starter solenoid: I know where the Pos and starter cables attach, but I have two other wires (one is red/short into harness; the other black/orange and runs along radiator support) and I want to be sure which post(s) on the solenoid they connect.

Alternator: I've set up with black/orange to Bat (which I'm sure of), and then red boot to white on alternator, and black boot to black on alternator. Is this correct?

[edit] pls disregard on the alternator; red boot is actually orange and I double-checked a couple resources. Not sure but I assume the rear field connector on earlier alternators was also orange and is now white...

Photos would be great if you could supply. Either way, I much appreciate the support.

Thanks!
Chris

thanks Komoto, much appreciated. Our relays are slightly different to each other (if you look at Twister's NSS thread you'll see mine), but having looked at yours and reading thru the NSS thread I think (hope) I've got it.

Set mine up with Batt+, Red fused (which in the NSS photo was connected to the I post), and another red (original black/orange coming from the alternator) to relay post; red/lt blue to the S post; nothing on the I post, and of course the starter wire.

Serves me right for not taking notes or pictures 5 years ago when I started tearing things apart!

I did the same thing a few months back on mine, and i am still working through it all. I luckily took pictures of everything i did before and after up to this point. Good luck with everything.
