I bought the truck without the a/c working. found out there was no refrigerant in the system due to a leak in one of the hoses. Replaced the hose and had a friend at a local dealership at temp to charge the system for me. He then told me there no longer seem to be any leaks, but he couldn't charge the system because the compressor wouldn't kick on at all. Checked the current going to the compressor and wot relay and there's no power. I've been roaming through different forums all day. Decided to check current going to low pressure switch and there is none. Where do i go from there?

nvm there is current going to and from the low pressure switch. i still dont know where else to look tho

If the clutch does not engage and has power and ground, tap on the clutch itself (engine off, key in Run, AC on) and see if it pulls in. Sometimes a worn clutch won't engage because the gap is too great. You can shim it closer, but replacement is in order. You could check the resistance (ohms) of the clutch coil (an electromagnetic coil) to see if that has burned out. I've not seen one burn out tho'.
