Before I pull out the 2.3 T out of my merkur I wanted to do a compression test. This is what I found starting from the front of the engine:

#1: 150psi
#2: 150psi
#3: 135psi
#4: 140psi

Should I be worried at all? I was hoping just to pull it out and redo all the gaskets, and not tear into the motor too much.

I don't know why you would pull the engine out just to replace the gaskets. If it were me, while I had the engine out anyway, I would re-ring the engine, and do a valve job.. There is pressure loss in the two back cylinders.

While this loss is within the 15% recommended limits, this is a turbocharged engine running high boost. Things happen fast. There is a problem in these cylinders with excessive wear, or whatever. I wouldn't trust it.:)shady
