Complete Ranger/Bronco II Swap

Hello:
I have a 1984 Ranger with a 2.8 engine and I looking to put a 2.9 from a Bronco II with auto trans. Iwant to install the 23 gal. gas tank from the Bronco into the Ranger. Will that work?

The Bronco II is a 1988 model. The gas gauge on my ranger does not work because of a bad connection on sending unit. So since I was going to need a fuel pump for the swap I thought the would do the trick with an added increase fuel capacity. If the tank will fit, I will need figure out a new fuel door.
