compleckz's ranger build

hopefully/ not hopefully.... i'll be breaking 60 shafts within the next year or so :icon_rofl:

oh you will be killing 60 parts for sure too. i killed some 30 splines and fawked up some hubs, lucky thing the d50 hubs work cause the ones i found new were 270 bux. but the d50 rotors are a bitch to get off here in rust ville...

I seriously wonder why the hell he keeps breaking shafts on 33s.

pull your shafts tomorrow and inspect them :icon_thumby:carefully:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

you will probably think....these should be ticking?

as bad as this sounds.. i want tim to start exploding shafts with his new locker.... so he will understand where i'm coming from, lol

but honestly, most the guys that seem to think i beat my truck too hard... have b2's, reg cabs 4cyls, and/or gen 1's.. a little different weight distro over the front axle than my gen3 ext cab 4.0 auto, i'd think...

and also, as long as the d35 holds up sometimes.. i'd REALLY hope a 60 shaft would last me over 6 months, lol... i wouldn't increase tire size MUCH... 36 max... 38 MAYBE, if i chopped the fenders massive.

yeah....my truck weighs over 3500 pounds on just the front axle(currently)

with the d35 it was still 2900

The joints only have a few trips on them and I will have spares this weekend when I wheel for 10+ hrs. If I have a joint failure I will pass it along to you guys. My LUCK has been to good to be true. I anticipate failure is not far off now. I would almost rather break a joint/shaft then replace them since I am welding in my caps.

yea i go straight for shaft failures, never busted a joint.. (760x's since the day i broke the spiders/replaced with lockright..)

Yeah but then when you're out wheelin, and you have that one obstacle in front of you that's laughing at your multiple attempts, you'll be thinking "Hell, I have a D60 now. I'll give it another shot and hit it just a little bit harder" Before ya know it you'll have a bucket full of broken 30 spline stub shafts and hubs :icon_rofl:

quite possible, but obstacles around her are generally rock faces, and i never hit rock hard.. honestly the only time i go hard, is when i'm stuck.. i wheel alone 75% of the time...

so once i get the winch on, i think that will be the greatest Dana 35 strength increase i can achieve, lol

Dude i love your truck.
Makes want to actually keep mine and get a DD car or something.
Good work.
