Hey all, I am rebuilding a 4.0L and want to know if anyone has placed a CompCam 49-410-8 cam into any of there builds>? If you have how do you like the cam? and did you replace the roller lifters? or just reused your old ones? and if you reused what was your milelage? and do you regret not getting new lifters? I am planning on new lifters, push rods etc, but was wondering if anyone had gone without replaceing the lifters.

thanks

If your in there...you might as well replace the lifters while your at it. Lifters are always an issue later (i.e., noisy)

Usually not necessary to replace roller lifters unless it's a high-mileage engine. I've run the 410 and the 422 cams before - 410 is a great all around cam, especially with a set of ported/polished heads. I'm assuming that you're aware that you'll need longer pushrods????

hi bird, No I wasn't aware that longer rods were required. I was just going to replace them new as in Ford stock ones. what do you suggest? and by high milage what do you consider high? the motor has over 300K Kms on it or roughly 190K miles. thanks
