So I am probably gonna just buy a frame from the junk yard for my 90. Since my frame is bent I got to thinking about alot of f100 and hot rod guys i know use S10 frames for their projects simply because they have decent front suspension. But has anyone ever put a Ranger on an S10 frame?

Barf!!!! Go stand in the corner......

I have no idea, really. But the thought gave me the heebie-jeebies.

the frame on a ranger is a lot more flat from the cab to the rear bumper, the S10 is a spring under axle and the front suspension is A-arms. Would be more of a headache than needed. Be further ahead to build your own frame from bulk steel Id think.

Also S10 frames tend to rot worse then ranger frames.

Thats what I was thinking about doing originally. I found a thread a while ago where the guy built this.

But there wasn't any detailed measurements in the thread.

I would stick with the A-arm front suspension. And s10 is like explorer with the rear leafs spring hanging Center of frame rails. But I wasn't sure how wide the 2 where in comparison or the body mount difference.

I have my 8.8 mounted on top of my leaf springs obviously it needed shims and lift shackles but it rode good before I put the cheap lowering shocks on.
