I need to replace my clutches and all I can find is mustang stuff. I called one company and asked about compatibility and they just directed to the manufacture. I called and they weren't open til Monday.

So my question is, will the mustang 8.8 trac lok rebuild kit work in my diff?

here's the venders I found.

I am 99.99% sure this will do what you need. I just thought I'd throw this one in there for you. It's from CJ Pony Parts, and I'm sure they will match the LRS price for you if you call. But.... CJ Pony Parts has Free Shipping, and LRS does not.

EDIT: Actually, just found this description of the kit:

Kit includes clutch pack, shims, friction modifier and instruction sheet Fits all 8.8" Traction-Lok differentials

Try ebay seller "thegearbox". I purchased 2 kits from him for $119.50 including shipping to Alaska. Put 1 set in a 1994 Mazda B4000 8.8 axle and installed the axle in a 1994 Ranger SuoerCab, 4WD, STX last month. I installed the 2nd set in STX axle when I rebuilt it. Discription of his ad was "Clutch Pack Ford 8.8 Mustang F150 Differential Pre-2002". The ebay item # was 360362902804. The kit had more discs and plates than I needed. If I remember correctly, each kit had 2 extra clutch discs and plates. I will see what I have and get back to you on this.

Thanks guys, I ended up ordering them from cjpony. It was pretty good since I found a promo code for 15%off! Sorry doodlebug, I don't do ebay. I thank both of you for your input.

Right on, I've used them a lot in restoring my Mustang. They've never let me down!

an 8.8" Tracklok clutch kit is an 8.8" tracklok clutch kit.

They are the same for both 28-spline and 31-spline
Car and truck.

Ford did something right there. They put those in damn near everything...
