I bought a 2007 Colorado extended cab, Z71 2wd 4 cyl.. taller tires and off road suspension. I hate it, way underpowered compared to a 4 cyl Ranger. Both have the same gear ratio and both are manual. Why does the Ranger have so much more power? Dumping this GM pic of crap and going back to my beloved Ranger.

I hear ya, i had an 09 colorado with 4x4 and 4 cylinder. Totally under powered

The Colorado 4 cylinder has a decent amount more hp and tq on paper vs any 4 cylinder ranger. If you're comparing similar models, a Colorado is heavier though, and adding tons of rolling resistance with big tires and a lift will only hurt how powerful it feels.

Yes, Colorado curb weight is close to 4,000lbs (2wd 3,960lbs extra cab, 4wd 4,140lbs)
Ranger extra cab runs about 3,200lbs
