Finally! I got the little Sears single mantle lantern done. I found a repro decal on the Old Coleman Parts website and it arrived today. Love this little lantern, it works gooooooood!

Probably the last update I have for now - I did score another 413G stove. This one is dated May 1979. It is in good shape (pictures make it look a little nicer than it actually is) and it just needed a light cleaning. Works pretty well of course. I will probably keep this one and sell off my other 413G - this one has the box and is in better shape - don't really need duplicates.

5 months has gone by and nobody has posted any new Coleman gear...surely one of you has something new to share????

Yeah. And the one Coleman Facebook page kept having photos of the off-brand fuel at Walmart for around $6 a gallon and I havent even checked my local Walmarts for that.

When we downsized our living arrangements... I had to swear off my collecting. I've kept an eye open for things but stopped actually going out looking for stuff.

I have a couple three stoves in storage and plan to pull one of them out and get it ready for service this spring.

My oldest daughter told me she wants me to do some garage sales this summer with her. So... things are likely to call my name.

I haven't done much with this in any regard. The lanterns are up at the hunting camp and the stove is in the shed. Depending on how drawer storage space goes when I build the bed platform in the 2019, it may go in there. That would be ideal since I would hate to have to pack and unpack the propane stove from the tent camping gear for an RTT trip with the 2019.

I may buy some more lanterns for the house when the power goes out, just to have something with a different fuel source than the kerosene hurricane lanterns but I prefer the light the kerosene hurricane lanterns give off compared to the liquid fuel lanterns and they attract less bugs, especially if you put citronella oil in them.

I made some ham & cheese baked sandwiches on Hawaiian buns this weekend in the Coleman oven. Worked well, uses a lot of fuel… basically on high to maintain 300 degrees. I cheated and used propane so that the food doesn’t taste like white gas.

We've never had white gas tasting food.

Full disclosure, I haven’t either, but didn’t want to risk it. Others are very picky about my cooking…

You haven't lived until youve had a white gas sandwich.

That said... I can vouch for camp biscuits you see above. I crushed a couple plate fulls over the years... and they were good.

One bad experience with a toaster on a coleman stove... and i just can't shake it.

I prefer the light output of the kerosene lanterns for general use but there are times that the glaring bright light of a dual fuel lantern just can't be beat.
