Coleman Liquid Fuel

I knew Coleman made these and I have seen them before but I couldn't justify spending much on one. Scored this for $5 at a yard sale. Now I can iron while camping!

Heaven forbid you wake up and come out of the camper or tent with your jeans in a twist. Fights have started for less than that. :p

As long a @Uncle Gump doesn't get hurt. He's gotta make a da pizza.

That iron could double as a panini press.

GREAT IDEA...better get him to clean it up. Then again, a little "iron" is good for the blood :)
"Would you like your panini 'fortified' with essential minerals"?

Dang overlanders and their gadgets...

In Coleman news though...

Someone on fb said they make coolers there

Their coolers are terrible, especially for what they cost new.

I owned one of their earlier coolers. Would keep a bag of ice good all weekend in the summer up north while camping. Would be tossing out cubes on Sunday night when I got home. Sold it at a garage sale. Every one I've owned since then can't keep a bag of ice more than 1.5 days.

Mine seems to keep the ice fairly well in a perfect world, but it's so flimsy the latching mechanism keep falling apart.

Ended up replacing the latch with a spring loaded cam lock latch. Riveted on instead of self tapping screws.

The screws had such a coarse thread they would just fall out of the steel.

When I added weather stripping to the lid and replaced the latch so it would seal, it’ll hold ice for at least 3/4 days in the sun.

Also painted the lid white, originally black, to help hold the ice.

I had the green one with the white bottom. I believe it had a cam latch. Best cooler I ever owned. Sorry I parted with it now.
