Coleman Liquid Fuel

I found this unused Coleman toaster at a local Sally Ann. Paid 3 bucks for it. It should work good in my RV on the propane stove.

I have one of those with my camping gear. I was never impressed with it's performance but it may be the application I'm using it. I've only tried using it over a camp fire since that is how we do the majority of our cooking. It's mainly just been taking up space in my cast iron box for a number of years now.

Their coolers are terrible, especially for what they cost new.

The steel Belted Cooler is still the best bang for the buck when it comes to ice longevity and cooler cost.

I like the Ozark Trail coolers from Walmart. IMO they are up there with Yeti and some of the other expensive ones and work well.

If you want to pay $80 for a cooler that will fall apart in a few months. Yeah they're great.


Before the latch falls off they have great ice retention. Keeps a 40lb bag for almost a weeks.

Coleman must hate you. I've had the one for about 7 years and the other about 5 years. Both are holding up fine. I've never tried just keeping ice in them. They usually get filled up about 3/4 of the way with food and the rest, ice. That usually give us about 3-4 days before the ice needs topped off.

That's like the one I had. Like I said, throwing good ice out on a Sunday night after getting home.

I found my homemade toaster. I copied a unit that my ex parents had in their trailer. It works pretty good but I don't know if it could be duplicated nowadays because all the coffee cans are plastic now. And I dont know if you can find metal coat hangers either...lol.

Restaurants still get fruit cans that are a gallon size that are metal. I'm sure bailing wire would work that has been seasoned/ cured with vegetable oil.

Not sure if baking wire is thick enough guage, but worth a try.

The only place I’ve seen to have metal hangars has been dry cleaners. But I haven’t exactly been looking for hangers.

Chock Full of Nuts still uses metal cans.

I don't know of anywhere that sells metal coat hangers, but they do seem to appear out of nowhere.

Store brands of coffee often come in metal cans... some of the Sams Club brand does as well.
