I'm got a 1990 bronco 2 with the 2.9 in it. Its been abit of a money hole with repair. As of late every time the temp dips down it refuses to start. it'll take sme cranking over to get it to start then once it sarts idling it only lasts a few seconds before sharply shutting off. though when the temp outside rises like this morning it starts up with no problems and runs strong.

Any advice would be a great help.

i had something similar, and after a month or so it completely died while running. my pick up coil was bad. Swapped that out and I have no more problems. Im not sure if that did the trick for the cold starts but after that its working fine. I would have trouble in the am. and after I didnt run it for a couple hours (like 5 or 6 hours) it ran fine when it was warmed up.
