My 97 Ranger has just begun throwing fits in this cold weather (highs in the 20's and 30's). Doesn't seem to want to idle cold unless I sit in it for a minute or so and keep a foot on the pedal. Once it's warmed up it's just fine. It's had a CEL off and on for a while now, but these days it's off.

Suggestion?

Check the codes .and freeze frame data.. If lean code set when engine is cold it probably has leaking intake gaskets.

It acted up once yesterday, but it's been too cold to want to tear into it. I did push on the plugs for several of the sensors (before the wind made me get back in the truck), and it hasn't acted up at all today....and it was darn cold this morning. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
