1998 ranger xlt 3.0 5 speed, 212,000 mi recently replaced the clutch & pressure plate now that its gotten cold outside (30 degrees and below) i notice in the morning the clutch pedal has traveled 3/4 of the way to the floor i will then press the clutch to the floor start the truck to let it warm up after warming up the clutch is back to the top with positive pressure (no clutch pedal play) and this is everyday in the winter, have bled the slave twice. when the weather is warm this symptom does not happen. Any Ideas ?

Is the reservoir losing fluid?
Temp changes can cause seals to leak.

After everything is warmed up and working, try pumping the clutch a few times then open the slave bleeder, if there is a quick spurt of fluid, indicating pressure is still in the system, then the check valve in the master might be going bad.
There should be no pressure in the system if foot is off the clutch pedal.

Since you have replaced fluid twice with NEW fluid I would assume there is no moisture in the system to form ice crystals :)
If you haven't done a complete exchange of fluid then I would do that.
