Hi i own a 1993 ford ranger 2.3L 4x4 and i was wondering what the best idea for s cold air intake would be for my truck???

Ford put one on your truck in 1993. :icon_thumby:

Don't believe me? Pop your hood and look.

The stock one is a cold air intake, it takes in cold air from the outside. A K and N stylr intake lets all sorts of crap into your engine due to a bad filter and it takes in hot air from the engine compartment

I've seen somewhere that people remove the black tapered tube and put a piece of plastic tubing in it's place to open it up and let more air flow. I didn't have any pipe around and didn't want to buy 10' for just that so I cut the little funnel out of the inside. I'm not sure if it really makes any difference in HP or fuel economy, though. Least I can say I modified something in my lifetime!

I agree. Don't waste money on what you already have.
