Consider a programmer instead of the chip. The chips are problematic and require some labor to install/remove. A programmer is about $100 more, but it can read codes, and make changes to the PCM. Additionally, if you have a warranty problem, 5 minutes with the programmer at the OBDII port and it is removed with no evidence it was ever in there. My .02.
If you take a look at the Jet Chips they are hella easy to install or remove. Especially on the newer rigs because the comp is in the open, not set into the firewall. And the new comps just have harnesses that you put the chip in front of. On my 97 the PCM is in the firewall and I installed it in 10 minutes. I could remove it in even less. Making it too easy in these newer trucks.
