just find and very good deal on some fox 2.0 10'' coilover's with 200 lbs spring. I was wondering if some one had some tips to mount the shock in order to have the ride height I want to have, with out changing the springs if its possible. any one running coilover could you show your shock travel with spring rates thanks.

i have dual rate springs 350/400 on 14" 2.5 coilovers. you set ride height by the top spring plate that is threaded. in order to correctly mount them you need to set your suspension at full bump, compress the shock all the way, then pull it out so 1/2" of the shock shaft is showing. Find 90* and build shock hoops. Then set ride height to wherever you want.

Sounds like a really light spring. you might just have to bite the bullet and spend $170 on new springs (eibach sells them for $88 each)

ok thanks alot. at full bump does the shock needs to be a 90* with the beam or the ground. and also how much will cranking the spring preset alow to adjust ride height.

thanks

with the beam.

can you reword that last part? i might just be tired, but its hard to understand what you are asking

ho much will I be able to adjust the ride height by tightening the spring. sorry I have a hard time with my english and thanks for your help.

thats something your just going to have to figure out with the parts you have. You dont want to adjust it so the springs bind, but just before that is most ride height you will be able to achieve.

A 2.0 shock is also fairly small and may overheat if it is run very hard. If you are mostly on the street, I would think that it would work fine. 2.5" shocks seem to be the standard size for a prerunner. If you end up adding bypasses up front, a 2.0 coilover shock could take a bit more abuse as a coil carrier.
