hi guys i am trying to get a good set of coil springs for my rang its a 90 reg cab 4x4 i am looking for leveling springs i allready have a set of rough country springs and these are stiff as shit so i was looking at tuff country and or skyjacker i am looking for a softer ride any help would be appt .

Ive read skyjacker is the softest searching the sight and i think that was there conclusion.I just ordered a 4" lift set of springs from skyjacker there supposed to be 400 lbs look round you'll find more details.

Yeah Skyjacker is the softest you'll find in standard RBV TTB coils.

ok thanks skyjacker it is alright any good info on shocks i see they have hyd or nitro which ones would be a better fit for the springs i really appt all the advice yea i could probley call skyjacker up but they are salesmen they will tell you anything to get you to buy but here someone already has them on their trucks and can give you a better opinion thanks

My opinion is hyrdo shocks....I had nitro's and they didnt ride that well (but then again they were cheapo tuff country ones so who knows). If you have the money and won't be changing the suspension height of your truck then I'd suggest some Bilstein 4600's or 5100's....little bit more pricey but way worth it.

I've had Skyjacker's Nitro shocks. They're quite decent, but of course they don't compare to Bilstein shocks.

KYB Gas-adjust shocks are very good as well.

I agree with junkie....the Skyjacker Nitros are decent shocks for the money. Gas charged shocks are better than hydraulic any day of the week.

If you want the best, hands down bilstein wins.

hey thanks for the info on the shocks so you guys are saying go with the nitros i read somewhere that the nitros are harder i just want a nice soft ride nothing that when you hit a bump you bounce into the next lane or something like that.

Control (and to some extent valving) is what keeps you from bouncing into the next lane, not so much the shock's stiffness.

Bilstein shocks are excellent for this, but pretty much any nitrogen gas-charged shock is going to have better control than hydro (sometimes called "cellular gas") shocks. The nitrogen pressure helps keep the fluid from foaming up inside the shock.
