Hey guys I have a 97 2wd ranger 2.3l that i race off road. This winter i am looking to swap front coil springs out to give minimal lift up front but stiffen the front end up some. Anyone know what coil springs i can use that will be stiffer and give me minimal lift??? explorer? 4wd ranger??

F-150 springs give some lift, I've read 3-4". I plan on trying to cut some coils from two different sets of 150 coils, one set from an unknown truck front axle given to me, and one from a '88 f-150 x-cab w/351[5.8]. It'll take some working with some online spring calculators to figure out rates and then some testing to see where I'm at for my track/s. It won't be any time soon but hopefully before May. I'll be posting in my build thread when I do.
Sorry I can't be more help,

Richard

I would try the skyjacker leveling springs, If they have a v6 option use that. They would be slightly stiffer

My rough country 4" lift coils are plenty stiff...
