Hey guys,

I'm interested in trying to bump up the front of my 1998 2wd ranger. It has coils, not a torsion bar. As far as lifting it up a bit, is there anything that you guys would recommend that is priced decent. I already know that I'll probably have to get new shocks and alignment cams but i'm just wondering what most of you guys run. I would like to try and keep it under $500. Thanks in advance!

500 just to bump up the front a little? if youre willing to spend 500 why not go bigger?

Post a photo. You want to add taller tires or just lift it a bit? If you want to lift it but not add taller tires you are just wasting your money.

I was thinking some 3 in coil spacers with some 2in blocks and some new shocks, probably pro comp and maybe some wheel spacers

Three inches of lift for the front? I'd be looking into a Fabtech lift. Or buying something older that is cheaper to build and use the newer truck for a DD. I have heard rumors that they make a one or two inch spacer and a two inch coil, but I have never seen them for these newer trucks other than spindle lifts and Fabtech kits.

Nice looking truck. The tires look good and you really don't need to lift it for that size tire. But if you want to just get it a bit higher you can go to Springtech on Ebay. I lifted my truck years ago and used their 2 inch taller springs and they are great. I added a Fabtech 3 inch spindle lift back in 2000 on my 99 Ranger and at the same time I did the lift I bought the Springtech coils and it is great. Smooth riding and it handles great. I added 4 1/2 rear add-a-leafs (Procomp). I run AT 33x12.5 KO tires.

I would not lift it more than 2 inches with those tires. If you were going taller tires....yes to a taller lift. Just put the spacer kit in it and it will look fine.
