Need to see a pic of how the coil pack mounts on an early 90's 4.0. Putting the engine in now, can't remember how the coil pack bracket went.

On my '94 4.0l, the coil bracket has 1 bolt in the exhaust manifold(maybe two?) and two bolts in the intake, so it straddles the valve cover.
This is on the passenger side rear of the valve cover.

The Ford parts(motorcraft) site usually has nice diagrams of assemblies

There is one for the '94 coil, and its one bolt in the exhaust manifold, lol

Ok, that makes sense. I knew it went in the right rear corner of the engine bay, I just couldn't remember if it went over the valve cover, or attached to it.
