I've got a mostly stock ranger, with stock suspension besides cranked T-bars and coilover's in the back. is there a coilover setup i can use in the front and still use the stock controll arms? The idea is eliminating my torsion bars, but i also don't wanna spend crazy money on something like a long travel kit. any ideas, or input on if its even possible would be cool

I don't think there is a cheap way to go about this but I could be wrong. The only kits I have seen that do a coil over swap are in the thousands of dollars.

Check serious explorations. A lot of guys have done it. If you have basic fabrication skills to make the brackets you can do it at a very reasonable price.

^^ what is that, searched it and couldn't find much? sounds promising though

It's a different forum, based around Explorers. Google search it and you'll find it. Tons of into there and a lot of conversion threads with pictures and explanations. I'll be doing the swap over the winter. It's pretty straight forward like I said, just have to custom fab your own mounting brackets.
