Coil bucket height...

of dropped pivot brackets. I believe it creates an exponential amount of extra force on them.

This depends on the bracket.

A good bracket such as Skyjacker's or James Duff's will be much wider than the stock bracket to redistribute that extra force (a Skyjacker 4/6" lift bracket for the driverside beam is many times stronger than the thin unreinforced OE bracket).

Longer brackets that keep the stock bracket's footprint are another story however.

All in the eye of the beyholder...

I did my research, and came to the conclusion that a cut and turn would be too much for the axleshafts. And if i do have issues with OE brackets, I'll reinforce the hell outta them with plating. I like the idea of them being as straight as they can for as long as they can. Anyway, it worked out pretty slick...with my factory coils (2" longer than stock on Hi-Rider model) and the 3" drop I have JUST enuff room to clear 34's (maybe 35's w/ trim job). The one inch ball joint extension was also JUST enuff. shoulda probably gone another 1/4", but it works.
