Where is the plug for the code reader on a 1986 ford ranger 2.9 fuel injection ??? I have looked for EEC test rectangle and can not find it. Did ford use diffferent style plugs ? I looked under brake resevoir and by air filter.:dunno:

been chasing wires and found some corroded plugs  hopefully I will find it

On that year it should be in the back on the passenger side. It is supposed to be clipped to the inner fender. It is usually (these days) found all the way down under the blower.

^^^ yes, in front of or under the blower motor.

Ok I will look under blower motor. I took out washer resv. and looked by it today.

:yahoo: :icon_bounceblue: I found IT :yahoo: . The plug fell and was way down under blower motor - could not see plug at all. I had found the gray small plug and was looking by the solenoids on the fender.
