cobra 10" rims?

I have a 1st gen 84 reg cab long bed, I would like to run factory cobra wheels with out rubbing my rolled up lip fenders. I sometimes have to haul heavy loads. right now my 95 explorer rear with 95 mustang 8" wheels with 255 50 17s just touch not really a problem so far but I am in desparate need of more traction {347-T5Z} would a mustang rear be narrow enough to run the cobra wheels? or would I need to narrow a housing? how much further out are cobra wheels? any info would be great
